Opening Moves: Prevention and Treatment Strategies for Invasive Mycoses

 
Method of Participation

To receive a CME Certificate or Statement of Credit, participants must:

  • Review the course book for CME/CE information including learning objectives, disclosure statements, slides, and Post Assessment and Evaluation forms

  • Listen to “Opening Moves: Prevention and Treatment Strategies for Invasive Mycoses”

  • Complete the Post Assessment and Evaluation Form given in the course book (including answers to the Post Assessment questions on the answer key and registration/credit information)

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the needs of physicians, pharmacists, and all healthcare professional who care for and who may be involved in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of invasive fungal infections.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
  • Define risk factors associated with specific fungal pathogens likely to cause clinically significant infections in high-risk patients
  • Assess the current evidence for appropriate prophylaxis and empiric therapeutic strategies in the treatment of invasive fungal infections (IFIs)
  • Evaluate the best evidence for the treatment of proven IFIs
